The Lions Club of Adamstown has run its Sunday market on the corner of Brunker and Glebe Roads since 1987, making it one of the longest-running community markets in the Newcastle region. It’s run entirely by volunteers and is the club’s biggest fundraiser, with proceeds going back into the local community. It’s a favourite with collectors and treasure hunters, with a friendly, old-school market atmosphere.
The market is on the corner of Brunker Road and Glebe Road, Adamstown. The site is also listed in some places as 201 Brunker Road, Broadmeadow, which is the same corner. It’s an early-morning market, so come along first thing for the best finds.
