Gargano Pizzeria Focacceria on Walker Street in North Sydney brings authentic pizza and focaccia from Puglia to Sydney. The name comes from the founders’ home on the Gargano promontory, and every recipe reflects their love of handmade food and the techniques they grew up with.
Everything is made fresh daily with the finest Italian ingredients, from Puglia-style pizza made with focaccia dough, topped with cherry tomatoes, potato and stracciatella or salami, to generous focaccia sandwiches filled with mortadella, prosciutto di Parma or provolone. Chef Paolo Meccariello, from Foggia, has been perfecting his craft for around 15 years.
