Blak Markets at La Perouse
Bare Island, La Perouse NSW 2036
The Blak Markets at La Perouse are a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and creativity at Bare Island, on the edge of Botany Bay. Stallholders sell authentic artworks, homewares, jewellery, fashion, children’s clothing, textiles, woodwork, woven goods, native plants and bushfoods. You can taste baked goods made with Indigenous bush tucker and spices, pick up Indigenous skincare and buy native plants from IndigiGrow. With dance, weaving and workshops as part of the day, it’s a great way to support First Nations businesses and learn something along the way.
The market is held at Bare Island, La Perouse. There’s no train station nearby, so most visitors drive or catch a bus to La Perouse. Market dates are irregular, so check the Blak Markets website or socials before you go.
